Due to continued and exponential growth, we have created an exciting and new role of Internal Trainer / Quality Assurer

Overview of the role:

The post holder will take a leading role in the delivery of the System Group Academy for all delivery team members. They will focus on helping the team to deliver the ‘System Group Way’ with a focus on the quality of teaching and learning because we believe the quality really matters.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments

  • Designing and expanding training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual

  • Working to produce programmes that exceed expectations with all relevant parties in an organisation, such as line managers and senior managers

  • Considering the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets

  • Planning and assessing the 'return on investment' of any training or development programme

  • Developing effective induction programmes for new staff, apprentices and graduate trainees

  • Monitoring and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers

  • Devising individual learning plans

  • Supporting appraisals

  • Producing training materials for in-house courses

  • Ensuring National Occupational Standards are maintained, and the assessment needs of the learners are being met

  • Carrying out Internal Quality Assurance activities to meet the requirements of the Awarding Organisations and to ensure that standardisation across all the programmes are maintained.

  • Ensuring effective management of quality and timely verification of assessment decisions and to ensure the quality of all Work-based and Sub-contractor centre-based delivery.

  • Ensure Standardisation Meetings are held on a regular basis and all subsequent information is cascaded to your delivery skills coaches and functional skills tutors.

  • To support the Head of Quality to prepare for Quality, Monitoring and Support Visits.

  • Ensuring that the delivery skills coaches and functional skills tutors receive an appropriate level of induction into the centre and all programmes/processes

A fundamental part of the role will be working with the Operations Managers in effective management of delivery skills coaches and functional skills tutors caseloads, including contingency planning in the event that skills tutors leave the organisation

The prerequisite experience and qualifications essential for this role are:

  • Learning and Development qualification (at least at level 4) - Desirable

  • CIPD or equivalent qualification (at least at level 4) - Desirable

  • A1, D32 / 33 or TAQA qualified

  • D34, IV or IQA qualified

  • CTLLS/CET, DTLLS/DET or Cert Ed/PGCE teaching qualification

  • Qualifications and experience in subject specialist area.

  • Full understanding of Awarding Organisation standards and EPAO

  • Experience in quality assurance
