Job Title: Creative Content Executive

Report to: Marketing Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Liverpool (Home-based)

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 + benefits

System Group are looking to recruit a Creative Content Specialist to create engaging content and execute campaigns across multiple platforms and channels. Working within the Marketing Team and reporting to the Marketing Manager your role will be to support the current company-wide marketing strategy and meet with colleagues across the business to receive briefs and contribute creative solutions.

Job Purpose:

  • To create and publish high-quality content, including video, written, audio and visual to support the marketing department and wider organisation

  • Support the development of increasing awareness of the System Group brand, working to engage a diverse group of stakeholders

Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver creative content for a range of digital campaigns including email marketing, and social media across all platforms

  • Plan, film, and edit engaging video content, including promotional videos and interviews.

  • Create and develop graphics for print and digital including flyers and posters, email communications, social media, and motion graphics

  • Produce and update web content

  • Plan and implement a creative content plan

  • Conduct research to keep up-to-date with the latest social and digital trends

  • Assist the team on a range of events

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy and planning:

  • Help develop and deliver an engaging content strategy which supports the overall organisational and communications strategies

  • Create and implement a structured content plan, ensuring all content is onbrand, meets the needs of the marketing department and collaborative teams, and evokes the desired response from our target audiences

Content production and management:

  • Generate ideas for compelling content which resonates with each of System Group’s target audiences and embraces new ways of doing things

  • Support the development of exciting stories of change and content evidencing our impact for use across the organisation

  • Develop and maintain a system for storing, tracking, and reviewing content in a way that makes it accessible to the whole organisation and helps plan future content needs

  • Support colleagues to plan and update marketing, fundraising, and training materials with content that is engaging for their target audiences

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to produce engaging digital and social media content, analyse its effectiveness and make suggestions for continual improvement and development of digital content

Editorial and Publications

  • Working in collaboration with other departments and the Marketing Manager to provide editorial support across the organisation

  • Write engaging copy for and support the production of, marketing materials, social campaigns, and web campaigns

The individual must be prepared to undertake other duties as defined by their Marketing Manager.

Person Specification


  • Marketing degree or equivalent

  • Worked in both a B2B and B2C environment, knowing how to approach multiple audiences

  • 2 years’ experience within a similar role

  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

  • Excellent written communication skills with experience in producing written content including email communications, web copy, and social media

  • Experience in video and audio production with strong editing skills

  • An exceptional eye for detail and what makes a good story and strong content

  • Track record in developing engaging written and digital content for use on multiple platforms which spark conversations among a variety of audiences

  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task

  • Experience in managing content development, planning, and evaluation

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills

  • Creative thinker

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Clean drivers licence


  • Background of working the same role within the Education and/or Transport and Logistics sector
