Job Title: Apprenticeship Recruitment Coordinator

Department: Business Development

Reporting to: Commercial Director

Location: UK-wide (Home-based)

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 + benefits


To Manage the end-to-end candidate recruitment process to fill a range of Apprenticeship vacancies to exceed planned targets.

To work with employers, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements.

To establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

To have excellent communication skills and the ability to actively lead successful change and improvements.

Be responsible for establishing excellent customer relationships with both the Learner and Employers ensuring total customer satisfaction and repeat business.


  • Screening and Selecting – Pre-screening learner suitability for job vacancies to make sure they meet the requirements of the employer.

  • Recruit and match suitable learners for a range of apprenticeships and courses to help develop their skills and make them more able to gain sustainable employment.

  • Carry out all pre-enrolment checks, including initial assessments to ensure suitability and eligibility

  • Manage an ongoing caseload of applicants, providing information, advice, guidance and support to assist them in overcoming barriers to employment and training.

  • Follow up on interviews and give improvement feedback to applicants and employers.

  • Produce reports and feedback on learner outcomes and overall effectiveness of the end-to-end recruitment process.

  • Maintain, develop and nurture relationships with existing partner organisations and referral agencies.

  • Maintain and provide information, advice and guidance to internal and external partners and key stakeholders.

  • Provide ongoing day1, week 1 month 1 pastoral support

  • Meet operational targets for employer engagement, vacancy conversion and fill time targets as defined by your manager.

  • Evaluate learner engagement activities, and administrative processes, to identify areas for improvement, proposing alternative activities that could increase learner engagement and employer engagement.

  • To collate and report on a daily and weekly basis all figures relating to vacancy status and to address immediately any anomalies with these figures.

  • Give regular updates on vacancy progress to all employers.

  • Use the CRM system, ensuring it is fully updated with accurate information as required, and producing reports to include updates, pipeline and business development activity on a regular basis.

  • To undertake training in order to meet the requirements of the role and participate in the staff development.

  • To ensure that the Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Quality Operating Policies and Procedures are adhered to.

Education, Skills & Knowledge:

  • A background in practical recruitment and knowledge surrounding CV writing, cover letter writing, interview preparation, application progression is desired

  • Business Development experience and the ability to meet set targets

  • Good standard of secondary education.

  • Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.

  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.

  • IT literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • The ability to cope with a variety of tasks and deadlines under pressure.

  • Patience, empathy and resilience.

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Creative problem-solving and negotiating skills.

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people.

  • Demonstrated skills and ability to help others identify and overcome barriers.
