Job Title:  Head of Compliance and MI

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

 

To ensure all learner data is 100% accurate and compliant with the EFSA funding rules.  Responsible for EFSA uploads and ensuring all subcontractor payments are calculated in a timely manner.

 

To provide agreed suites of reports for internal and external partners, to both provide information and aid in corporate and operational decision-making processes, in a timely manner.

 

Key Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Management of System Group's MIS system (Maytas)

    • liaison with Tribal & IT help desk to resolve issues and bugs in the system

    • ensuring upgrades are carried out in a manner that minimises disruption to the business

    • creation of new contracts each year, or as new prime contractors are signed up

    • management of users – creation of logins, permissions, visibility

    • creation and maintenance of Processes to improve quality and speed of data input

    • writing/modifying reports as agreed with senior management or operations management team

    • maintenance of module editor to create new qualifications according to business and customer requirements

  • Generating automated reports via email and to Power BI

  • Provide agreed suites of reports for internal and external partners, to both provide information and aid in corporate and operational decision-making processes

  • Liaison with ESFA re Funding Monitoring Reports, PDSAT reports, audit findings, notices of concern

  • Maintenance of course directory

  • Upload ILR export to hub in a timely manner to ensure payment from ESFA and that errors are corrected

  • Monthly calculation of subcontractor finances, accompanied by occupancy reports and progress reports

  • Assist operations management in verification of ESFA income earned/paid against contract values and envelopes

  • PowerBI reporting suites for agreed recipients

  • Monthly creation of ProAchieve success rates reports (overall, timely, apprentices, subcontractors, framework) for board meetings

  • Uploading of learners to employer DAS accounts and liaison with employer representatives to rectify issues

  • Train staff on Maytas and etrack

  • FIS – ensure data errors are corrected prior to upload to the ESFA hub

  • Funding Monitoring Reports – run after each monthly upload, liaison with data and quality teams to agree corrective actions and check these have been cleared

  • Provider Data Self Assessment Toolkit reports – liaison with data and quality teams to agree corrective actions, and check these have been cleared

  • Keep up to date on government funding guidance

  • Provide analysis of key messages from reports and propose solutions to issues highlighted to senior management team

     

    Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Demontrable experience of Maytas and Power BI

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral  

  • Proven experience of engaging at all levels and achieving required outcomes through influence and persuasion

  • Good understanding of ESFA Rules and application of these

  • Good understanding of Ofsted requirements

  • Good Understanding the different funding streams - Levy/Non-Levy/AEB
