The Cargo Crime Taboo
Road Transport industry is fighting back against cargo criminals with the launch of ground-breaking Cargo and Road Transport (CART) Security Guide.
This is a collaborative project identifying the often misunderstood and taboo topic of cargo crime within the road transport sector. The CART Security Guide aims to raise awareness and offer guidance in a bid to fill the ever-widening void.
Commercial vehicle safety and security specialists, Maple, launched the Cargo and Road Transport (CART) Security Guide at the Commercial Vehicle Show 25-27th April 2017.
Taking almost two years from project inception to publication, the resource includes sixteen chapters discussing cargo crime and the specific associated threats that operators face on a daily basis. Topics include Cargo Theft and Security Solutions, Hijacking, The Romanian MO and the Migrant Threat plus many more.
These issues are becoming more and more serious in this industry and information and advice needs to be more readily available to support anyone interested in learning more about the security risks and vulnerabilities associated with the road haulage sector so we applaud Maple for their great work in producing this publication.
