As a Business Administration apprentice you will play an important role in the success of the business by working at the heart of the organisation ensuring the smooth running of the service offered.


Excellent Administration is the key to a successful business. Whether it is dealing with customer’s records, communications, producing business documents or facilitating meetings and events.

  • Understands organisational purpose, activities, aims, values, vision for the future, resources and political/environmental impact

  • Knows organisational structure and demonstrates understanding of how their work benefits the organisation

  • Practical knowledge of managing stakeholders and their differing relationships

  • Understands laws and regulations that apply to their role

  • Understands the organisation's internal policies and key business policies

  • Understands the applicability of business principles

  • Understands the organisation's processes

  • Understands relevant external factors


  • Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation

  • Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals

  • Exercises proactivity and good judgement

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation

  • Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms

  • Completes tasks to a high standard

  • Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines

  • Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report

Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration is for learners who work in, or who want to work in the business administration roles such as:

  • Personal Assistant

  • Office Executive

  • Office Supervisor

• Developing presentations

• Creating bespoke documents

• Administrative support

• Storing and retrieving information

• Recording minutes for meetings

• Handling mail

• Maintaining and issuing stationery

• Human resources

• Procuring products and/or services

• Developing teams and individuals


The apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete prior to taking the end-point assessment.
