Ambassador of Hope Workshop

Recently at our head office in Liverpool, our management team attended a training session called ‘Ambassador of Hope’ which was delivered by Jake Mills, founder of ‘Chasing the Stigma’. Chasing the Stigma is an amazing charity founded by Jake from his own experience of mental health issues, dealing with mental illness and living with positive mental health. The twenty-minute session covered Jake’s own battles with depression, his recovery and his vision and passion to change the way society approaches mental illness. English and mathematics Functional Skills qualifications help learners to gain important real-world skills for the future. Starting in September 2019, the current qualifications will be replaced by reformed Functional Skills qualifications to make them even more relevant and credible for the world of work. CEMEX Graduation

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending a graduation ceremony at CEMEX in Rugby to celebrate young drivers who have completed their Logistics Apprenticeship Scheme. The drivers were the fourth cohort to take part in the apprenticeship scheme which was created jointly by CEMEX and System Group. They are the second cohort to be funded under the new levy scheme, which helps to address a recognised UK skills gap, due to an aging driver population, by recruiting individuals aged 18 to 23.
