School Groups

System Motor Vehicle Training works with school groups to provide vocational qualifications for students within the modern 14-16 curriculum framework.

Certificate in Automotive Management

The unique motor industry management qualification is a modular course that's tailored to meet individual needs and ensures candidates build up the specific knowledge and tools required to deliver improved business results.

Whilst the course can be tailored to a shorter and more intensive period or over a longer schedule if necessary, achieving the certificate normally requires between 180 and 190 hours. Most learners complete the course in about a year, by attending a System Training Centre, completing five pieces of coursework and undergoing five 45 minute on-line tests.

Flexibility and relevance of the workplace

The CAM is highly flexible, with candidates actually putting together their own schedule that reflects the demands of their current role or planned career path. Assessment is based on evidence of actual performance enhancement; improvements that offer clear benefits to their business as recorded before, during and after completion of the programme.

Three mandatory units are studied; Personal Effectiveness, Organising and Monitoring Resources, and Fundamental Management Principles; combined with two other units selected by the candidate from a choice of 14 options and ranging from Customer Service through to advanced Vehicle Science and Maths.

Refrigerant Handling for Mobile Air Conditioning Systems, Level 3 VRQ

System Training's Refrigerant Handling for Mobile A/C Systems course is a single unit qualification developed in partnership with industry specialists such as Autoclimate and BAGMA.

The one and a half day course provides Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) technicians (working with cars and car-derived vans) with a DEFRA-approved qualification that is ESSENTIAL to continue to work on F-gas (fluorinated greenhouse gas) AirCon on or after 4 July 2010 when new EU regulations came into force.

This qualification is suitable for competent MAC Technicians who have completed a similar previous qualification; whether an 'in-house' or a nationally recognised course.

Candidates for the course must already have a good understanding of the components and system operation of the relevant units and be competent in carrying out servicing procedures relating to air conditioning systems.
