The logistics apprenticeship offer the opportunity to gain employable skills in one of four specialisms all of which lead towards gaining a level 2 qualification.Traffic Office (link) – Plan routes and organise loads to ensure goods reach their destination on time in good condition. To this job well you will need a quick brain and the ability to think on your feet.Warehousing and Storage (link) – Organise the handling, storage, packing and movement of goods in and out of the warehouse. To do this job well you will need to be highly organised and ready to take on responsibility.Driving Goods Vehicles (link) – When you are out on the road in charge of 38 tones of awesome power and valuable cargo on board you are literally in the hot seat you will need your wits about you and be ready to make decisions every moment of every mile.Carry and Deliver Goods (link) – When delivering multi-drop loads in built up areas you will deal with various people at all levels all day every day. To do this job you will need to be highly organised, energetic and able to provide high levels of customer service.
