The Accountancy Apprenticeship is for young people aged 16-24 interested in starting a career as an Accountant.

Learning Outcomes

The Accountancy Apprenticeship provides candidates with all of the skills required to gain qualifications awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) who are the main awarding body for Accountancy and Payroll National Vocational Qualifications.

Course Structure

The Accountancy Apprenticeship offers different stages of accounting qualifications that cover a range of accounting skills. Candidates are able to progress through the qualifications with the possibility of eventually gaining Chartered Accountant status.The qualifications are:

  • NVQ Level 2: Foundation Stage
  • NVQ Level 3: Intermediate Stage
  • NVQ Level 4: Technician Stage

Assessments

Apprentices will undergo a series of examinations to assess their ability in a range of accounting practices in order to achieve the NVQ they are working towards e.g. NVQ Level 2: Foundation. CertificationAll candidates will obtain an NVQ in Accountancy and have the opportunity to obtain an NVQ in Payroll Administration.
